If you love history, fashion, handbags and story telling then check out Carried Away: Bags Unpacked exhibition at Auckland Museum. It’s a beautifully curated and stunningly presented display of 150 bags from the museum collection. On opening night guests were asked to bring a unique bag from their wardrobe. I chose my yellow & cream @lauriefoon bag made in Wellington. Only a few of these were ever made, handcrafted by an elderly man/bag maker in his garage. I just love it. It was also an stunning opportunity to wear my Prada heels that I bought secondhand at a charity auction and Mum’s string of pearls.
