A big moment for me today. Visiting Petra. It caught my imagination when I was a child after seeing a picture of The Treasury on the cover of @natgeo magazine. I asked my Dad about it and he explained it had been unknown to the West for a long time but had been discovered. A secret city carved into the mountains in the desert by an ancient people. It caught my imagination and it’s been on my bucket list ever since. So when I visited today and saw it for the first time I actually welled up with tears. Thinking about Dad, how he would be so rapt I’d made it, and wishing he had too. It’s truly spectacular. #thetreasury #petra #travel #jordan (at The Treasury)
